Pre-production notes: (Budget)

Trainspotting:
-Trainspotting made in 1996 (was based off a book)
-Made for its time
-About guns drugs fighting
-Over the top of what was happening at the time
-Budget £3.5m, small amount for movie

-If based of a book the production team will need permission from the author. (Author may ask for               -royalties and some sort of payment to get permission)
-Can’t start a film with out a screenplay and screenplay writer.
-Important that the producers are from the same team and have somewhat of the same experiences.
-Pitch ideas to big companies such as Hollywood like warner brothers.
-Getting a investor
-Production takes time
-Target audience

Pre-production:
-Known as the run up period before the film
-Includes planning
-There is an always pre-production document that relate to the product that is being made
-Pre-production is the key to success
-Casting, location scouting, working with the art department on the look of the film.
-Casting is the first to be done (Done by the casting director)

-Actors have read-throughs and may begin to rehearse 
-Rehearsal
-A crew is assembled
-Hunting locations (A recce)
-Stunt equipment (Tables, chairs, bottles)
-Cost of location (£500-£1000 for a certain amount of time if needed more time they have to pay ------more)
-Notify everyone involved with what is needed and when
-Travel time and travel methods (buses, cars, planes)
-Sound, lighting 

Set-Design:
-Get photo graphs of places that can inspire the set and create the set based of the photographs and ----sketches, in some film they are exaggerated however not in all
-As one is set is build used another one with be built as the same time as they are filming in one that --is being used (saving money)

Props:
-Making props that suit the film
-Buying clothes at charity shops and changing them to suit the characters and the film
-Most people create costume from scratch, however most buy clothing and edit it and create the -------clothing meant for the characters

The shoot:
-Only shoot 5 days Monday-Friday as Saturday and Sunday costs more to pay the cast and crew
-12 hour shoots usually
-Most work begins at 8:30am and ends at 8:00pm
-having family and friends on set and having people that aren't in anyway part of creating the film -----aren't aloud on set as it takes up time and its cheaper to film quicker and as so as possible.
