1. Explain the client requirements of this brief, outlining which are explicit, implicit and open to interpretation. (10)
In the brief what must be included 100% is a promotional video (It implicit they must do so) what must last between 20 and 40 seconds, that is aimed at an audience of between the ages of 8 and 14, this is open to interpretation. The promotional video of the new range should be ready to be launched in five weeks' time, so including models of the shoes. The video should include shots of the footwear range, the name, logo and contact details for the company. The video should also include, shots of the target audience in the street with the product and a range of different camera angles, this is explicit, also shots and movement, shots such as close ups on the shoes, panning videos of the children wearing the product and having fun so they attract customers. The promotional video should be a minimum of four clips and there must be background music that is up-to-date and appeals to children, this is open to the interpretation of the director.
2. What logistical issues can you foresee when creating this video? (4)
The logistical issues would be that is it a short length of time (5 weeks), production only 4 weeks as testing is required, filming outside, there may be weather issues and the availability of the locations might be an issue. The studio time for shots of the range, getting the child actors to be able to film at appropriate times and getting hold of the product in the right size and ensuring the shots are as good as possible.
3. What are the potential legal issues will need to be addressed? Outline briefly the impact each one may have on the project and how they might be dealt with. (8)
The release form/ permission from parents,because the cant use the children without legal consent by the guardian or parent when working with children. Contracts, because children have short working hours, unless these are signed the children can't work at all, but once the working hours are agreed the project can work around them. A location release form, for either public or private locations, because if it is in a public area, they need council permission, if private then the owner must sign a release form. Copyright of the music, rights must be requested for the use in the advert, otherwise the advert may be pulled after it is released.
4. Produce a mind map or mood board exploring how the age of the target audience will impact the design/content of the videos. (5)

Video equipment hire, key project cost, the promotional video cannot be can't be run without filming equipment, so they would need to hire the equipment and hire staff like cameramen and sound people to film, also they will need private venue hire, possibly use public areas, if private venue is too expensive. There also needs to be transport for the cast and crew, children can't drive so they need some sort of transport.
