Evaluation of pre-production

Why evaluation pre-production doc?

Evaluating the effectiveness of pre-production documentation is vital in ensuring that the final version that is sent to the production team is effective.
If documents aren't checked, they could be the cause of a major planning problem, so it is important the quality of documents is evaluated.

How to evaluate:

The documents need to be considered in relation to:
-Suitability of content for meeting the brief and usefulness in aiding the production team in producing the product.
-Suitability of content for the target.

Should use:
-Positive language
-Consideration for the original designer/creator
-Specific feedback on any suggested improvement - justifying why it would make the document more effective.

In this sketch of a studio design, it is a clear idea of what the studio is going to look like. The scale is also accurate and to scale and incorporate most of the specific details, for example the lights, the background, the people, the table the reports will sit around. However it could be improved by adding some colour and some more detail. It is a flat plan.

The production schedule is quite helpful and understandable as the colors standout and highlight each jobs. The colour coding is good. It is not very accurate, not much detail, for example no actual dates. Some of the colors repeat making it possibly confusing
